Christmas Birdie.
What every golfer wants—A Birdie! USA handmade made of upcycled, recycled golf balls. Comes in a gift bag with my own sweet, humorous, original poem (not AI). Ready for immediate gift giving. Hang on your Christmas tree, or gift it to your favorite golfer. Tie to a golf bag as a good luck charm or decorate a golf cart. Makes a fantastic stocking stuffer for the golf enthusiasts, but you don't have to be a golfer to enjoy this little guy!
The body is a golf ball. The beak, tail, legs, and crest are all made of golf tees. Lost golf balls are hunted and gathered by me and my dog. (Let's clean up all that plastic!) Then they are cleaned, sorted, and sterilized. The very best finds are carefully hand crafted into Birdies. The rest are donated to Goodwill or First Tee for reuse. Please note, parts are not just pasted on! To give strength and keep proportions correct and balanced, seven meticulously precise holes are drilled into that little ball! Beaks are reinforced inside with a small hidden dowel. Professional construction glue is used to cement parts into drill holes. Screw-in eyes are carefully inserted. All this takes a lot of time and patience. Finally, a fine hole is drilled into the crest to thread a filament for hanging. The completed Birdie is then wrapped in Christmas tissue paper and placed in a burgundy organza drawstring bag. My own original poem is added for a unique touch. Free shipping over $35. Unique! Please note the following: Unlike my Little Birdies that can stand on their own feet on your desk or a shelf, the Christmas Birdie is for hanging. She can balance on her own little feet, but not for long.
There will be variations in the brands of balls, depending on what is available to me. However, your Birdie will look just as shown and have a filament for hanging. If you need a particular brand of ball, let me know and I will try to find it, otherwise, send me your favorite ball and I will make it into a Birdie. These are not toys for children as the golf tee beaks can be very pointy. Any returns accepted, no questions asked.
